Happy FAFSA filing season from the CampusESP team! We recently created a post on all parent portals regarding the 2020-21 FAFSA Form opening on October 1st. In addition to the post, announcements and campaigns centered around FAFSA can help drive even greater impressions, clicks, and visibility.
Announcements communicate important messages to parents in a matter of minutes via email.
Announcements work well at capturing the attention of parents, often generating very high open rates (try over 70%!). You may notice the hyperlink that says "The New 2020-21 FAFSA Form Is Here!". Clicking on this hyperlink brings parents back to the related post in the portal that has more information on the FAFSA (we love driving parents back into the portal so they can read even more helpful content!).
A campaign is a great way to highlight the 2020-21 FAFSA Form. Campaigns are visible on the parent portal for an extended period of time, resulting in a high number of impressions. Brian Watkins from the University of Maryland reported an 8x increase in overall campaign reach after partnering with CampusESP.
Campaigns are also completely configurable. You can decide where in the portal you want them to appear, the color scheme and even whether there’s a button for parents to click!
If you’re interested in the Guide to the CampusESP Campaigns Module that further explains the process of setting up a campaign in CampusESP, please send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We recommend that our partners use these samples to create an announcement and campaign in the portal. If you are one of our partners and want help to set this up, let us know at email@example.com. We’re happy to help!
