Event Marketing Manager (Philadelphia, PA)

We’re looking for a high energy marketer to lead our national conference strategy. From massive national trade shows to small, targeted meetings, you’ll create engaging and memorable events to attract new customers and inspire current partners. You’ll be a crucial member of our team driving a broad events strategy, focused on generating leads and converting them to opportunities. You’ll report to the Vice President of Marketing and work in collaboration with the entire company.

Our perfect candidate blends creative, fun, and surprising elements into events that get attention and generate momentum. We’re looking for an “owner”, someone who is excited to identify problems, prioritize them, and then solve them — quickly. Didn’t go as planned? No problem — you’re troubleshooting after hours to keep the plates spinning. After all is said and done, you have the results to show your impact. Hard work is fun.

Here’s what your daily adventures will include:

  • Help develop the strategy for our trade show calendar, working cross-departmentally with Sales, Customer Success, and Account Management on the messaging, collateral, and experiences that will draw new prospects and allow us to harness current customers

  • Create and execute promotional activities in advance of events to generate interest and book meetings

  • Coordinate the logistics of each event, including production, setup and strike schedules, venue arrangements, booth activations, agendas, transportation, attendee management (and, yes, killer happy hours)

  • Manage event staffing and day-of engagement strategy, including working with our amazing customers on session proposals and execution

  • Analyze and communicate show and program effectiveness to stakeholders, developing ways to learn from experiments to constantly improve

  • Build and maintain relationships with relevant partners, associations, and organizations

  • Assist with the planning and execution of additional customer and internal events, from our user conference (the Summit) to our annual company offsite (an invigorating blend of training, relaxation, and antics)

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years’ experience in marketing and events management

  • 3+ years’ experience in start-ups and/or SaaS

  • Excellent communication skills and an ability to build relationships

  • Strong interpersonal skills — people give you energy

  • Stellar time management and organization skills

  • Desire and drive to own projects start to finish, including the results

  • Understanding of lead generation and pipeline processes

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment

  • Bachelor's Degree required

  • HubSpot experience desired

What now?

Glad you asked. If doing all that and helping a startup grow sounds exciting to you, we want to hear from you. Please submit a cover letter and resume HERE.
