Spring 2024 CampusESP Product Update

CampusESP's Spring 2024 Product Update is here! It’s time to “spring forward” with new features and enhancements that came directly from customer requests.

There’s A LOT to cover, so let’s jump in!

Unlock more insights with Performance Dashboard enhancements

Since releasing Performance Dashboards in early 2023, we’ve continued to add views to help you see how many families you're reaching – and when your efforts are most impactful. Here are the latest updates:

  • FERPA clicks widget to view which student records are getting the most clicks

  • SMS sends widget to track SMS utilization

  • SMS opt-ins widget for insight into SMS preferences

  • Total users widget, which can be filtered by current and prospective parents

  • Portal Visitors widget to track families that visit your portal website (often your most engaged users!)

  • Active Users widget to view families that engage with any CampusESP channel, including portal visits, email engagement, and SMS engagement

Filter results between prospective and current parents

With 100+ institutions using CampusESP to engage both prospective and current parents, we’ve made it easier to measure ROI for the group you’re most focused on.

Several Performance Dashboard widgets can now be filtered by “user role”, which allows you to view results for prospective parents only, current parents only, or both. You can now:

  • View how many post clicks came from each user role

  • Differentiate an announcement’s open rate and click rate by user role

  • Filter total users and user growth by user role

  • And more!

Our fabulous Customer Success team already set this up for customers. Go to your Performance Dashboard (AKA your admin homepage) to see results filtered by user role.

Streamline FERPA and boost student success with student-initiated FERPA waivers

CampusESP for FERPA Management helps institutions modernize FERPA with digital waivers, an interactive student data dashboard, and alerts when student records change.

To help increase FERPA connections and streamline processes, students can now submit FERPA waivers in CampusESP (parents can still submit waivers, too!). PS – student retention is 8% higher for students with a FERPA connection in CampusESP.

For customers already using FERPA Management, this update is optional and FREE

Get more out of FERPA Management with Banner QuickStart and a new Housing Tile

You've probably heard our slogan "Don't Fear FERPA". Well, we dove right into the FERPA deep end ourselves to make it even less scary for you.

Meet our new features:

Banner QuickStart is an integration option in which all integration scripts come pre-built. You'll only need IT to plug it in and enable Single Sign-On (SSO). This was built by customers for customers to make it easy to launch FERPA Management in 3 weeks!

Housing Tile is our newest student tile (in a library of over a dozen tiles!) that you may make available to families to request access to. This tile includes housing next steps, housing status, residence hall information, and more.

Sync your systems with automated user imports

Say goodbye to manually importing and exporting parent data! This update allows you to automatically load in parent data from your CRM, SIS, or other campus systems via a nightly sFTP feed. (Reminder: you can also export CampusESP data via sFTP.)

While we’re at it, we added advanced import rules that can add/remove users from communities and deliver targeted welcome emails. These advanced rules are available on ALL user imports, not just automated imports. This update is optional and FREE

Keep your applications and deposits growing with an Admissions Dashboard for families

In a year of enrollment timeline extensions, it's not too late to cultivate your Fall 2024 class. With our new Admissions Dashboard, parents can help!

CampusESP now supports admissions and enrollment checklists to help parents keep their students on track. With easy CRM integration, you can also pull in housing information, scholarship information, and other student data that showcases why your institution is the right choice for the whole family.

For Student Enrollment customers already using CRM integration, this feature only takes two weeks to implement!

Send even more targeted content by excluding populations

We’ve also improved our new Dynamic User Targeting feature with support for exclusion criteria. This allows you to create even more personalized campaigns by excluding users – based on Parent Promoter Score, community membership, activity dates, and more – from receiving content.

Not sure how to get started? Here are some of the use cases we had in mind:

  • Exclude prospective or graduated families from receiving irrelevant information

  • Target giving solicitations to families who have NOT yet made a gift

  • Send event reminders to users who have NOT yet registered

Let the results come to you with our improved Family Engagement Insights monthly email

You want to know parent engagement is working, but you don't have time to check results on the reg. We get it!

That's why we created Family Engagement Insights – a monthly, automated email from CampusESP that summarizes your parent engagement results from the last month

We revamped our old monthly email to include new metrics, focus on the data that really matters, and provide more actionable guidance on how to use the data. You received your first Family Engagement Insights email on March 1 – go check it out!
